What is companion care?
Companion care is non-medical support focused on connection, routine and everyday help. A companion caregiver spends quality time with your loved one — conversation, hobbies, outings — and takes care of the errands and light household tasks that can become tiring or isolating to manage alone.
It's a great fit for older adults who are still largely independent but would benefit from regular company, a helping hand and someone who notices when something isn't quite right.
Support without taking away independence.
Companion care may be right if your loved one:
Lives alone or spends long stretches of the day alone
Has stopped driving or going out as often
Seems lonely, withdrawn or less engaged than before
Needs help with errands, shopping or getting to appointments
Would benefit from a regular, friendly routine
Has family who work long hours or live far away
Companionship built around who they are.
We get to know your loved one's interests, history and routines, then plan visits around the things that make their days feel full and familiar.
Respecting independence, routines and personal choices.
