What is personal care?
Personal care is non-medical, hands-on help with activities of daily living — the routines most of us take for granted, like bathing, dressing, using the bathroom and moving around the house. When these tasks become difficult because of age, illness, recovery from a hospital stay or a disability, a trained caregiver steps in so the day can go on safely and on your loved one's terms.
Our caregivers assist; they don't take over. We encourage your loved one to do what they can, step in where they need help, and always protect their privacy and dignity.

No. Pristine is a non-medical home care agency. Our caregivers are screened, CPR-trained aides who help with daily activities like bathing, dressing and mobility. They don't provide skilled nursing or medical treatment, but they work alongside the care your loved one already receives.

It can. We accept North Carolina Medicaid through the Personal Care Services (PCS) program and the Community Alternatives Program (CAP), and eligibility depends on your loved one's assessed needs. We also accept private pay, long-term care insurance and managed care plans. Call us and we'll help you understand your options.

Yes. Every plan starts with a conversation about your loved one's routines, preferences and goals. Together we decide where help is needed and where they'd like to stay independent, and we adjust the plan whenever their needs change.
