Moving safely, with a steady hand.
Hands-on help getting up, moving around and transferring safely — so your loved one can move through their home and their day with more confidence and less risk of falling.
Peace of mind for your family.
What is mobility & transfer assistance?
Mobility and transfer assistance is non-medical, hands-on help with moving safely — standing up, walking, getting in and out of bed, a chair, the shower or a car, and changing position throughout the day. It's one of the most practical ways to help prevent falls, a leading cause of injury for older adults.
Our caregivers use safe, careful techniques and work with the walkers, canes or wheelchairs your loved one already uses — always encouraging them to stay as active and independent as they can.
Support without taking away independence.
Mobility support may be right if your loved one:
Has trouble getting out of bed, a chair or the car
Uses a walker, cane or wheelchair
Has fallen recently, or is afraid of falling
Is recovering from surgery, a hospital stay or an illness
Feels weak, unsteady or tires quickly when walking
Has a family caregiver straining to help with lifting
Support matched to their abilities.
Every person moves differently. We look at your loved one's strength, balance, equipment and home layout, then plan the right level of help for each part of the day.
Respecting independence, routines and personal choices.

Questions families often ask.

Common transfers include getting in and out of bed, chairs, wheelchairs, the toilet, the shower or tub, and the car. When we build the care plan, we look at your loved one's abilities, equipment and home layout to decide which kinds of help are safe and appropriate.
-
No. Pristine is a non-medical home care agency, so we don't provide physical or occupational therapy. Our caregivers can support the routines a therapist or doctor recommends — like encouraging daily walks — and help your loved one move safely between visits.
-
Yes. Along with hands-on support during transfers and walking, caregivers keep walkways clear, put frequently used items within easy reach and watch for changes in balance or strength. If we notice something worth raising with a doctor, we'll let your family know.
